MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina that year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. An album release in 2023 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His elder brother and mom are also musicians. In his interviews, he's talked about playing music as an obligation. When a young boy was in school, he took guitar and saxophone. Though his original career plan was becoming an animal veterinarian but his brother Julian advised him to begin learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons revolutionized his entire life.
